Just musing about some things going on in the world today.

The American Political Scene:

The Clinton Legacy - Bill Clinton was perhaps one of the most popular presidents in American history during his time in office and could have been one of the great ones of our history according to this history teacher.   Of course, he fouled up his legacy because of his moral slippage while in the White House.  Political insiders, who have commented from the secret service, state that the ditch around both the Clintons is a lot deeper than the press has reported.  Mrs. Clinton was perhaps one of the most hated first ladies around the White House staff  since Nancy Reagan, who thought that she'd bought and owned the place.   It is most difficult to understand Mrs. Clinton's politics today, as she is constantly feeling the winds of polls to determine her stances.  She does have her strong points, and might be another "Iron woman" like Margaret Thatcher if elected.  My problem in voting her way would be what she would have an iron spine to support.  I think too many of these type politicians are listening to the strongest minority to bleed the majority with taxes, loss of freedoms and pursuing the "rable rousers" agendas of the Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton's.

The Obama Explosion -  Barak arrived on the scene with a lot of baggage from his past including his parents, his preacher and his agendas all based on securing the votes of the welfare state.  I could never support him, if only 1/20th of what is said about him is true.  The more I listen to him is convincing me that he has NO agenda but a racist approach toward a "get even" philosophy for a 200 year old crime.   Anybody with wealth in this country should prepare for socialism and controlled economies if he is elected.  God help us if some of his supporters reach positions in the White House or in decision making positions.

The McCain Wipeout - John is one in a long line of politicians who reads the winds, makes up his mind and throws caution to the wind to get what he wants done.  This scares me, because he doesn't seem to like those that disagree with him.  His choice of vice-president is my cliff hanger for a decision.  Fiscal conservatives are a must, but a man with some charisma is his only chance of being elected against the great liar spreaders among the feuding democrats.

All the other rans -  Is anybody out there from the Pat Buchanan, Ralph Nader or independent classes able to step up and command a spot in the public's mind?   Not at this point!   More and more a lot of us are considering the negatives before the positives in this coming election.   What do you think?   E-mail me....
