Recently, the MOS&B International Convention met in Mobile, Alabama for their first meeting since the separation from the SCV office. With a large turnout, the various committees met and determined to secure the fronts and move forward with our own agenda to make the historical study of the Civil War era the best method in recognizing and honoring our Confederate ancestors.
In the business meeting, the election the General Officers elected were Commander Philip Law ; Lt. Commander General: Dr. C. Anthony Hodges; Adjutant General: Reinhard Dearing; Chief of Staff General: Max L. Waldrop, Jr. and Judge Advocate General: Jeffery W. Massey.
A memorial service honoring the departed compatriots was held with a genuine appreciation of their efforts to stand in the gap for the southern traditions and culture.
Agreed at the convention was the concept that the Military Order of Stars and Bars would remain a non-confrontational organization that would express Southern Heritage and culture rather than the politics of negativism and defeat.
